Implementation of an Acute Concussion Management Plan: Registration Now Open for Webinar
Share

Concussion assessment and management has changed during the last decade. There are more objective assessments and improved rehabilitation techniques to help patients recover from concussion. Developing a treatment plan that meets the unique needs of each child is key in the efforts to reduce symptoms, support recovery, and ensure better overall health outcomes following injury.

The Minds Matter Concussion Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will host a virtual webinar, “Implementation of an Acute Concussion Management Plan,” on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The webinar is for athletic trainers, nurses, physicians, and others who work directly with children or adolescents with acute concussion.

In this webinar, we will detail how the Minds Matter team implements a concussion management plan in a clinical setting, along with best practices for developing a patient care plan. We will also demonstrate an objective concussion examination and detail best practices for documentation when treating or speaking with a child diagnosed with concussion. The webinar will include updates about the research conducted by the Minds Matter Concussion team, and how it is being translated to improve the diagnosis and treatment of concussion.
